(More customer reviews)I'm a Protection Ranger at Sleeping Bear Dune's National Lakeshore, so when I saw this book I just had to have it. After reading it, I'm extremely glad I bought it! It is well written, and keeps you wanting more. I have to say that it is quite obvious the author of this book really was a Ranger, and a highly experienced one at that. He nailed the job description of the Protection Ranger! (as much as anyone could) The truth is we don't know what we will be doing exactly from day to day, and this book shows that.
I love this book as a Ranger, but this book isn't written just for Rangers! It reads like an adventure that most would enjoy. It is motivational, sincere, funny, and gives the public a great idea of what we really do out there. I recommend this book for anyone who is curious about what we do or just loves adventure stories, and especially those who are considering becoming a Protection Ranger. Ranger Up!
